Description: Buy tickets for Kevin Anderson's Grand Slam Cause for the Paws at Boca Grove Plantation Tennis Center, Sat 15 December 2018 - Join us at the second annual Grand Slam Cause for The Paws, where Kevin Anderson brings some of tennis' biggest stars to his hometown community for an afternoon showcasing professional talent in live matches.  The afternoon will feature a chance to meet your favorite players, get autographs and photos, participate in tennis challenges on-court, experience our fabulous silent auction, and enjoy cocktails and live music at a festive after party with Kevin himself. 100% of funds raised will benefit local dog rescue Dezzy's Second Chance (who saved Kevin's own celebrity pup Lady Kady) as well as Ocean Conservancy's Trash Free Seas Alliance®. Kevin holds a deep love for animals and the Earth, and is passionate about raising awareness on and off the tour for both animal adoption and anti-plastic initiatives.  Last year Kevin partnered with College Park Athletic Clubs in Chicago to raise over $34,000 at his single-evening charity exhibition. In 2018 alone, he reached the Wimbledon Final, qualified for the ATP Tour’s prestigious year-end championships, represented Team World at the Laver Cup and finished the year ranked 6 in the world. Kevin’s other career accolades include reaching the 2017 US Open final, 5 ATP World Tour titles and 13 other final appearances on tour.  Calling Gulf Stream home, this South African trains often at Boca Grove Plantation and the Delray Beach Tennis Center. He is known on tour as one of the hardest working players, and also takes an active interest in improving tennis as a whole in his position as Vice President of the ATP Player Council alongside President Novak Djokovic.   Kevin’s hobbies include playing guitar and visiting our local beaches. After growing increasingly aware of the plastic pollution plaguing our oceans, Kevin is determined to help reduce the use of single-use plastics on tour, further raise awareness amongst his friends and family and encourage ocean cleanup efforts. At the beginning of 2017, Kevin and his wife Kelsey fell in love with a dog up for adoption at the Delray Beach Green Market. After adopting Lady Kady from Dezzy’s Second Chance, Kevin and Kelsey grew to understand the constant financial needs of the dog rescue and became passionate about raising funds to help save dogs at Dezzy’s Second Chance. Sandra Dezelan works with animal care and control as well as other shelters to save dogs with often extensive medical needs. Animals welcomed into Dezzy’s truly gain a second lease on life, and are loved and cared for on a cage-free 5-acre rescue ranch until they find their forever homes.
